Taste Of Taiwan

Taiwan is an island country off the eastern coast of Asia. It features a rich, unique geography which undergirds its world-class agriculture and aquaculture. The pride of Taiwan’s exceptional cuisine is rooted in its local sourcing — The island boasts over 20 microclimates, exceptionally clean waters, and has a deeply embedded small farming tradition. The combination of both delectable and diverse flavors brought by waves of immigrants has allowed Taiwan to become one of the world’s top food destinations.

In 2015, Taiwan was voted the World’s Best Food Country in a CNN poll, outing countries such as Italy, France, and Japan. Following this high honor, we are privileged to have the Taiwanese government send two of their top national chefs to create a wonderful culinary experience for us at this year’s 2018 Taste of Taiwan. Well known for it’s night markets and themed restaurants, this year’s chefs will be treating you to a multi-course dinner mirroring the adventurous fare that are staples of the Taiwanese food scene.

We cordially invite you to come experience firsthand, the flavors that have brought Taiwan cuisine and culture into the world’s spotlight.

General Information

The Taiwanese Junior Chamber of Commerce of Georgia will have the pleasure of hosting its 3rd annual Taste of Taiwan Gala for the city of Atlanta. Our attendees, will be taken on a culinary journey through the rich history and culture presented by two top national chefs from Taiwan.

Following the previous years’ sold-out events, this year’s Tasting Gala
will draw 500+ guests. In addition to the support from our Taiwanese and Chinese communities, many of our friends in the Korean, Vietnamese, Indian, and other Asian communities will also be joining us for the festivities.

Our guest chefs from Taiwan will transport the attendees on a
whirlwind tour of the various local Taiwanese cuisines through their
intricately prepared dishes. In addition, the Taiwanese chefs will be visiting and working with the students and staff of the Atlanta Arts Institute to create new, imaginative dishes for Taste of Taiwan 2018.
