About Taste of Taiwan
Taiwan, located off the east coast of China, is a food mecca that offers sumptuous delicacies and a culture of exceptional cuisine which has become a major attraction for seasoned travelers and culinary aficionados. From “stinky” tofu to hand-pulled noodles, you can find no shortage of food, night markets, and eateries in Taiwan. In 2015, Taiwan was voted the World’s Best Food Country in a CNN poll—outing countries such as Italy, France, and Japan. Following this high honor, the 2016 Taste of Taiwan in Atlanta is privileged to have the Taiwanese government send 2 of their top national chefs to create a wonderful culinary experience for us. We cordially invite you to experience firsthand the Taiwanese cuisine and culture here in Atlanta, Georgia.

General Information
To celebrate its recognition by the global community as the top culinary destination, Taiwan’s government is sending two top national chefs to major cities around the world as the ultimate cultural exchange through sharing its cuisine. In Atlanta, the Taiwanese Junior Chamber of Commerce of Georgia has the honor of hosting this event.
Following the previous year’s sold-out events, this year’s Tasting Gala will draw 500+ guests. In addition to the Taiwanese and Chinese community’s support, many of our friends in the Korean, Vietnamese, Indian, and other Asian communities will also be joining us for the festivities. Our guest chefs from Taiwan will transport the attendees on a whirlwind tour of the various local Taiwanese cuisines through their intricately prepared dishes. In addition, the “Chef Showdown” will feature teams of local Atlanta celebrity chefs, paired with our visiting Taiwanese chefs to create new, imaginative dishes as they battle it out in “Kitchen Stadium” at the Le Cordon Bleu culinary institute.
